DEPARTMENT OF Statistics Strengths and Achievements
STRENGTHS :
- The Department has dedicated young and energetic staff member with NET and SLET Qualification.
- Students are enthusiastic about all aspects of teaching. The staff is dedicated, hardworking and efficient. Department continuously strives for excellence in teaching and also in giving project works to stake holders.
WEAKNESSES :
- As majority of the students joining in this course from rural back ground, and no Parental education
- Less enrolment of students in admission.
- Poor financial background of the students
- Poor communication skills in English.
Achievements :
- The Department is conducting many awareness programmes towards competitive exams and higher education.
- Some students are inclined to join M.Sc (Statistics) and there is opportunity appear ISS through UPSC.
- Expansion of Statistics lab and instrumental room.
- To prepare the rural students to suit the needs of the industry so that students will be employable.
- To arrange coaching classes for students who appear for PG entrance examination.
- To organize National Seminars/ Workshops/Conferences.
- Engaging students in projects works.
