Introduction
The Department of Political Science was started with the establishment of the College in the academic year 1983-84. B.A.(H.E.P.) group with Telugu medium was commenced with a modest strength of 40 students during the academic year 1983-84. There wasone sanctioned post in the department, at present, Dr.T. Sreenivas Asst. Professor is working in the Department.The students of Political Science studies Political Theory, Indian Government and Politics, Indian Polity, Indian Political Thought, Western Political Thought, Public Administration, International Relations, Indian Foreign Policy, Contemporary Global Issues. The Political Science students can join M.A.in Political Science, PublicAdministration, International Relations, Public Policy, Bachelor of Law, B.Ed., Journalism & Mass Communication etc.

The Political Science students have ample of opportunities in different fields. They join Teaching, Law, Press, Report generation departments of electronic Media, Newspaper agencies for analytical writing, Political Analyst, Research, Election Campaign Management, Political Consultancy, Political Leaders, Political Advisors, N.G.O’s, Civil Services both UPSC and SPSC’s (Group 1,2,3&4) and other all competitive exams.
