An Overview of the Department The Department of History launched its journey in 1983 as General subject in B.A group with HEP. There is demand amongst students for opting History as main subject. There are at present 40 sanctioned seats in BA Group (H.E.P-40). History is a Multidisciplinary subject which embeds of Economics and political science. There is one contact Faculty teacher in the Department. The Department has produced innumerable students. Throughout the years many students of the Department have established themselves in various sectors, especially as accomplished constables, teachers, Lecturers and Degree College Teachers and keep touch with the Department as Alumni. Besides teaching, the Department organizes class wise seminars, debates and prepares students for Quiz competitions and Group discussions, so that they can keep pace with the time. The students can express their views independently through their writing in the wall charts. Above all, the faculty members are always ready to render all possible assistance and guidance to students within and outside the campus as and when required. Consequently students get through the final examination with flying coolers every year and go for higher studies to the Universities.
